Are you just that ignorant.

Enough Already. When is it that people will wake up and realize that they are dangerous. Are you just so ignorant that you cannot realize the danger you are putting everyone else in.

You come rolling around the corner, cell phone in one hand, a Mc Fat Ass burger in the other. Your car looks like an extra from Viva La Bam, and your looking everywhere besides the direction you are heading. CHRIST….

Put something down, stop shoving shit into your face, you do not need to eat anymore. Get off the phone, you are really not that important that you need to be on a cell phone every waking moment. If you were that important, then you would not be driving around in that piece of shit anyway. What I need at these moments is a nice loud horn that states the obvious. Get the fuck off the phone. Nice and to the point. Don't you think?

Well this is just my opinion, let me know your feelings.

Evolution vs Creationism

Although I am not an expert, I can at least be sure that I have more knowledge in this area then most that are arguing it.

Let me start by saying that I am a Catholic, and that I have attended Catholic Schools all of my life. Throughout all of the schools that I have attended, I have been taught both sides of the argument. The difference was that we were taught Evolution in Science class and Creationism in Religion class. Evolution being taught as a science, and Creationism was taught as a theory. Even the Catholic schools did not try to apply science to Creationism.

I live in a country that has on paper a clear division between church and state. Yet too many Religious right advocates are now trying to sell me that they can apply science to Creationism, dubbing it The Science of Intelligent Design.

Creationists have undoubtedly discounted evolution as a fraud, dismissing virtually all of the geological, paleontological, and astrophysical research that shows that the Earth is billions of years old. When asked to apply proper science to Creationism, the answer received is quite amusing. “It is morally inappropriate to try and prove creationism”. At the Institute for Creation Research, they actually apply that the Grand Canyon was created by the great 40 day 40 night flood, in which Noah placed 2 of every animal on an Ark. First off, how big was that damn boat? Second, how naive would you have to be to first off this that it happened in America, and secondly that the marvel known as the Grand Canyon let alone the whole world was created in Days? You can visit Institution for Creation Research to get the strangest arguments against the facts I could find. To get small glimpse of the rational side visit Creationism versus Science

I do not in any way discourage any opinion, or theory, I just do not want it placed where it does not belong. How do you think a Jewish, or Buddhist family would feel if their child had to be subjected to this nonsense in public school. If you want your child taught a certain belief, or at least be exposed to the possibility. Send them to private school, or enroll them in Catechism class on Sunday.

My bottom line is quite simple, publicly funded programs are not to be mixed with religion. This is the way our forefathers intended it. It is in the Constitution.

The Truth.org

OK, enough with the damn TV ads. Mind your own damn business. If a person chooses to smoke then that is there concern, not a bunch of snotty stuck up, liberal college kids.

“One Tobacco company said they would not support a youth organization that supports discouraging youth smoking” Well big F’in deal. They are a business. They have the same rights as you and me to decide what is in their best interest.

I have never in my life considered smoking safe, nor have I ever been lead by a tobacco company to believe that. Maybe it is that I am smarter then those who are easily fooled, but I doubt it.

All the truth is about is shoving a perspective in our faces. Smokers already get flack from every angle, now they have to get flack from a group of kids that have never had to accomplish a damn thing in life.

Would I admit that smoking is a safe habit, of course not. I just don’t need campy TV ads letting me know that. We are all adults; the research on smoking is publicly available. Maybe The Truth should dedicate their time and donated money helping military families, or homeless, or educating children at schools. I think more people should mind their own business, if you don’t like it, don’t do it. If it is around you and it bothers you? Leave.

We live in a free country, so why are we dealing with those that feel they have the right to free speech and expression, yet certain other groups (smokers) must have their rights squashed. If I feel like having a smoke, I do not want to feel like I am commiting a crime. The last I heard smoking is legal.

This is once again my opinion. Let me know what you think
